Crespine Gel in Lithuania

Crespine Gel is an injectable cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel implant for the treatment of osteoarthritis joint pain. A physician administers it as a single 2 ml intra-articular injection — many other hyaluronic acid preparations require three to five weekly appointments.

Regulatory framework in the European Union

As an EU member state, Lithuania applies the European medical device rules directly. Crespine Gel carries the CE mark under Directive 93/42/EEC, Annex II §4, issued by notified body CE Certiso Kft. (NB 2409). No separate national approval is required. Instructions for use must be supplied in the official language of the country of sale.

Two variants

  • Crespine® Gel

    Standard variant, without local anaesthetic.

  • Crespine® Gel +

    Additionally contains the local anaesthetic prilocaine, released slowly from the hyaluronic acid matrix.

Which variant is appropriate is decided by the treating physician. Crespine Gel is not supplied directly to private individuals.
